I have been the Assistant Coach at Central Christian School in Sharpsburg, GA for two years. Central has won their 7th Straight State Title and during that run they have an overall record of 160-14. I have been blessed with the opportunity to be associated with this program and experience what it is like to coach and win 2 of the 7 State Title. However next season I will be taking over a struggling program as the Head Coach and I am worried that I will struggle with losing. This will be my first time as a Head Coach and I know that the program I will be taking over is going to need some time to “right the ship” as they say. Any advice you can give to a New Head Coach taking over a struggling program?
